The mother, Ko Yang-hee, strives to keep her family afloat—a household in which three of the men do not work. To generate income, she attempts to rent out the second floor of their home, but the other family members object, and the grandfather—who suffers from Alzheimer’s—scares away potential tenants. Meanwhile, her husband spends his days playing chess online, her son idles away his time dreaming of becoming a musician, and her daughter—a stylist—is desperate to get married, hoping to escape her role as the family’s sole breadwinner.
