Episode overview
Office worker Nishikawa (Keiko Saito) is diagnosed with a mild stomach ulcer at the hospital. On the way home, at a café called "Symptom," she sees someone who looks exactly like a colleague posted overseas. Back at the office, news arrives that the colleague has died. Later she sees her cousin at Symptom — and right after, the cousin dies too. The third time, it's her old college professor. She visits Symptom once more. (Based on Takashi Atoda, "Someone Who Resembles Someone," from The Eaten Man, Kodansha)
