Alec Stewart flies to Saigon for talks with Gareth Williams, head of Mogul's local marketing office, and is soon caught up in the realities of the Vietnam war. A youth who offered him black market currency is arrested for a bomb attack he did not commit and faces execution. Ignoring advice that nothing can be done, Stewart sets about finding someone with the influence to save him.
